Brian Lucier, Psy.D.

Brian W. Lucier, Psy.D. received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Lucier has a background in community mental health but focused his doctoral training on assessment, issues of emerging adulthood (age 18-25), individual, couples, and family therapy. His pre-doctoral training ranged from the evaluation and treatment of patients with mild traumatic brain injury to working with a complete range of mental health issues in a busy college counseling setting. After spending time as a licensed psychologist in Rhode Island with a large group practice, he developed a strong interest in children, adolescents, and adults with AD/HD who struggle to manage the numerous associated features of the disorder. His current area of interest in the Emerging Adult (EA) population provides a focused understanding of the unique and diverse struggles facing these individuals and families. His EA treatment approach aims to improve one’s ability to “launch” successfully as an independent, autonomous, and self-sufficient adult. Dr. Lucier also recognizes the multitude of ways this stage of development is creating both challenges and opportunities for those affected.
